Items from the Playboy Mansion have been listed for auction and huge interest has surrounded the collectibles, with many already amassing multiple bids and sales. Some of Hughs own outfits are available to buy, including his iconic smoking jacket and black silk pyjamas.

Fans can also compete to purchase a circular Playboy Mansion bed, a large wooden structure with a spherical base and units along the headboard. According to reports, a personalised bottle of Hugh Hefners baby oil has already sold for a whopping $1250 after an interest of six bids.

Other listings include art by Alberto Vaargas, Joan Miro and Keith Haring. Some of George Suyeokas sculptures are also up for sale.

The items have been listed on Juliens Auctions, which is a privately held auction house in Beverly Hills, and critics have gathered online to share their thoughts on the unusual objects. Many were completely baffled by some of the more obscure items that Hughs estate have decided to flog.

Over on Reddit, many expressed disbelief and disgust over the listings. One person posted pictures of the baby oil and the branding iron before stating that they 100% believe [the latter] was used.

Underneath, many Reddit users replied with one writing: They do not make bleach [strong] enough to touch that bottle and the branding ironI really hope to hell that was for steaks or something

Critics slammed the items as "foul"(Image: Getty Images)

Another person asked who would want to touch that bottle and noted that it is likely riddled with bacteria from the 70s. Someone else said: That baby oil is a damn biohazard, while others wondered what the branding iron was for exactly.

One Reddit user simply stated: Thats so [f***ing] gross, as others said so sick, absolutely deranged and foul.
