Zara McDermott reportedly enjoyed a trip to Paris after her split from Sam Thompson.

Sam and Zara, who have been together since 2019, have reportedly called time on their romance. Neither have commented publicly on the reported split but Sam's sister Louise seemed to confirm it when she 'liked' an Instagram comment about it.

Love Island star Zara, 28, reportedly jetted off to Paris for the New Year to "get away from it all" after their split. And it's said she's already moved out of the home she shared with the Made in Chelsea star, 32.

Zara had a quite night in on New Year's Eve, posting a photo of one her cats with wishes of a 'Happy New Year' to her followers. It's believed Zara flew over to Paris shortly after to clear her head following the alleged split.

A source told The Sun: "It's been a tough time for Zara. The trip to Paris just helped her get away from it all. Zara just wants to try to focus on work and get herself together. They split some time before it officially emerged and she is now living apart from him."

The reported split was revealed earlier this week when a source told the MailOnline: "Sam and Zara have ended their relationship. It's been an incredibly difficult decision for them to part ways, they still care and have a lot of love for each other."

Sam recently took to his Instagram Stories on New Year's Day to share his excitement over 2025. "New year! 2025 baby come on let's have it! I can't wait. The New year is going to be amazing and you're going to have the best year ever. And you know I'm always right," said Sam before appearing to kiss his camera.

A source told MailOnline of their reported split: "Zara and Sam's relationship just never had felt like it was heading for the long haul. They never really recovered from Zara's cheating, most couples would have struggled lasting for as long as they did afterwards.

"Zara had some big making up to do, especially with Louise, she really wasn't happy when Sam took her back. But she managed to make it work and they had some great times together again, but it just felt like it was never going to be truly serious. They were delaying the inevitable for several months as they had drifted apart and their lives had become very different."

In 2019, Zara cheated on Sam with Brahim Fouradi, a music industry executive who has worked on talent shows such as The X Factor as part of his duties as AandR director at Simon Cowell's company Syco. It happened on the 2019 edition of The X Factor: Celebrity.

Sam initially ended their relationship in September 2020 after learning about the affair. Zara admitted to being unfaithful in now-iconic scenes shown on Made In Chelsea which aired in 2020, but he decided to take her back.

Daily Star has contacted Zara's representatives for comment.
