Luke Littler is ready to splash out on a flash new car after netting 225k during a dominant showing at the World Matchplay over the weekend.

Littler, 19, dismantled Welsh veteran Gerwyn Price at the Winter Gardens as he defended his title in Blackpool while setting a new record average with 111.04 alongside 66 maximums. And The Nuke has admitted the prize money will go towards his BMW 1 Series.

Im looking at a new car, dont know what to get yet. I need some more brake horsepower, 170 is not enough," he joked after his latest win. And the teenage darts prodigy had a frighting message for his rivals.

Littler continued: I can still get better. I can get a lot better.

Through the matches I was up to 120 average at one point. I didnt maintain it, but maybe in a few years time I will and finish a match averaging 120.

At the minute Im playing some of my best stuff and Ive just got to keep it there. Ive come away with the best outcome there is in any tournament, lifting the trophy.

I remember sitting there watching it. The way he did it was just incredible. He didnt really miss a thing, and if hed hit a few more, it could have been even higher.

"Thats definitely one of the records I want to break. I also wanted to break the match average here, but Ill have to settle for the tournament average and the 180s record for now.

Littler has also become the first ever player in the PDC to break the 3million barrier in the Order of Merit with just the European Championship standing between him and every major.
