    Model Keeley Hazell visited Silverstone in 2006

    The British Grand Prix will get underway on Sunday. The race is regarded as one of the most esteemed in the F1 calendar.

    The iconic Silverstone circuit has hosted many famous faces over the years, who have eagerly watched on and even walked the grid. From the likes of actor and model Cara Delevingne and a former Miss Great Britain, fans have often had a hard time keeping their eyes on the track.

    Mercedes star Kimi Antonelli will be looking to extend his lead at Silverstone this weekend and the race will certainly make headlines. However, those attending the race are expected to generate as much attention. Here we take a look at eight models who have graced the circuit over the years.

    1. Katie Price

      Then known as 'Jordan', Price attended Silverstone in the 1990s and 2000s. The former glamour model worked with ex-F1 team boss Eddie Jordan and would often pose for photos with Jordan's cars.

      Speaking in 2017 about the use of models, Jordan said: "Commercially it was a huge thing at the time. I was involved with Benson & Hedges. The idea was it should be fun.

      "Motor racing is a very serious business, very commercial and it needs to have a very respectable return on the investment."

      Television presenter and former glamour model Melinda Messenger spent time as a grid girl. She said on Loose Women: "I'd just become famous as a model, I was doing some TV, and the Jordan [racing] team asked me if Id be one of their grid girls."

      Garrett is a former holder of the Miss Great Britain and Miss Ulster titles. The Belfast-born star is the official face of the Formula One British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
