Ferrari chief Fred Vasseur will be absent from qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix due to medical reasons.
The team confirmed the 58-year-old Frenchman will "remain under observation at a local medical facility" but declined to elaborate on the specifics of his condition.
A statement from the Italian team on Saturday morning declared: "Fred Vasseur will not be present at the circuit today. Following some medical checks, Fred will remain under observation at a local medical facility. No further medical information will be provided. We wish Fred a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back at the track soon."
Ferrari are anticipated to claim their first pole position of the campaign in qualifying later on Saturday.
Lewis Hamilton topped the timesheets in practice in Monte Carlo on Friday as he chases his first victory for the Italian squad.
Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton put the skids under Englands World Cup glory bid - by revealing his favourite team is Brazil. The seven-time world F1 champ - who was born in Stevenage, Herts - said he will be following the Three Lions fortunes too.
But he admitted his loyalties were divided over who he wants to win the summer soccer showpiece starting next week. Lewis, whose childhood Formula One hero was Brazilian Ayrton Senna, was granted honorary citizenship of the South American nation in 2022.

He said he had fallen in love with both the country and its national football team. Speaking ahead of this weekends Monaco Grand Prix the Arsenal fan said he had always admired Brazils football culture as well as the rags-to-riches stories of many of its star players.
For me, its tied with England, he said. "Honestly, Brazil has always been my favourite team. Growing up in England I used to love watching Brazil play.
I think its the colours, the culture, and the players always just looked the most skilled. They were so cool. I just appreciate where they come from.
Many of the players come from the streets where they play with no shoes. Theres something quite special about Brazilian culture.
