Aaron McLean had quite the welcome at Hull City.

It was McLean's first day at the club when he bumped into Jimmy Bullard. Bullard, who turns 46 on Wednesday (October 23), decided to give him his own version of a welcome - by grabbing his manhood.

Speaking on the Undr the Cosh podcast, McLean joked he knew that Bullard was a joker, but he didn't expect what he was met with on Humberside. He said: "I remember seeing Jimmy Bullard, seeing all the lads warming up, and he's just running around jumping on the goalkeepers back.

"And I'm thinking, this guy is an absolute lunatic, like he's just not taking it seriously. I thought f***ing hell, anyway, first day in training and I'm in the shower.

"He comes in the shower and grabs hold of my c*** straight away, and he's like 'ooo f***ing hell, that's heavy init!' And, bearing in mind, I've just come from Peterborough I'm in the dressing room with these lads - and I'm a little bit intimidated.

"I tried laughing it off or whatever, but that was my first introduction to that crazy squad..."

McLean then joked he knew who Bullard was before moving to Humberside, having watched him on TV, but he didn't expect him to be that level of a joker. He continued: "It's like, what do I do? It's Jimmy Bullard, I can't just like punch him... so it was an awkward start!"

McLean added added he reckoned that was Bullard's way of welcoming new players to the squad. McLean would spend three seasons at Hull, two out on loan, before moving to Yorkshire rivals Bradford City in 2014.
