'World's sexiest footballer' Alisha Lehmann gets engaged to Love Island star with huge diamond ring

Alisha Lehmann aka 'the world's sexiest footballer' and her Love Island star boyfriend Montel McKenzie have got engaged.

Leicester City forward Alisha was left speechless when Baller League player McKenzie - a right-back for National League South side Folkestone Invicta - got down on one knee during a romantic getaway. Switzerland striker Alisha posted snaps of the magical moment on Instagram on Wednesday, captioning them: "Forever & Always [heart emoji]."

Dressed to impress in a black mini dress, the blonde footballer - who has 16 million followers on Instagram thanks to her regular racy uploads - covered her face with her hands in apparent disbelief and excitement as McKenzie popped the question. The couple then embraced warmly before admiring Alisha's sparkling new diamond ring.

A host of Love Island stars rushed to congratulate them, with Nas Majeed posting: "My favourites [heart] congratulations." Biggs Chris added: "Jheeez congrats my guy." Meanwhile, Tyrique Hyde wrote: "Congrats bro."

The duo had previously fuelled engagement speculation in May after being spotted at a jewellers together. Standing side by side, McKenzie, 28, posted a lock and key emoji, hinting he was preparing to propose.

It remains unclear whether Alisha, 27, had any say in selecting the enormous diamond featured in the engagement photographs.

Alisha manages six-a-side outfit MVPs United in The Baller League, where McKenzie is a player. The couple confirmed their relationship in January and their romance has progressed at lightning speed.

A source previously said: "They hit it off straight away have been going on dates afterwards. Alisha has been flying him to her Como apartment for sneaky weekend breaks for a while now, I don't think Montel could believe his luck.

"Everyone is really happy for them, although initially everyone thought it was going to be just a casual thing."

Alisha was previously in a four-year relationship with Aston Villa star Douglas Luiz, but the pair split last year.

They both completed transfers to Italian side Juventus in 2024, with Alisha helping the women's side win Serie A.

McKenzie found fame on Love Island in 2023, entering the villa as a 'bombshell' and coupling with Leah Taylor, before being dumped from the show on Day 38.

He returned for a second shot at love on Love Island All Stars in January 2025, again arriving as a 'bombshell' contestant, but only lasted five days.

McKenzie has praised Alisha for giving him advice on his game too during their time together on Baller League.

He said: "Obviously if you have an ex-pro they will add. Obviously, we had Alisha, she knows about football so she was giving her piece on how we were playing.

"Throughout most of the season, we weren't speaking," McKenzie admitted about his blossoming relationship with Lehmann.

"It wasn't like the whole season she was my girlfriend. It was more like halfway through toward the end.

"But definitely once we did start speaking, it made me play a lot better. Knowing that she was on the side, if I made a bad pass, I needed to get back and needed to go score.

"Naturally, it gives you that push like having a family member or friend watching.
