Arsenal news: Mikel Arteta signing in spat with Liverpool rival and Bukayo Saka verdict

Arsenal are back in action this weekend as they welcome Nottingham Forest to the Emirates Stadium and Daily Star Sport has all the latest news and views on the Gunners

Mikel Arteta's side will be back in action on Saturday

The international break has wrapped up and Arsenal supporters are excited to see their squad back on the pitch this weekend.

The Emirates crowd won't have long to wait, with Mikel Arteta's side set to face off against Nottingham Forest at 12:30pm on Saturday. Arsenal will be squaring up to former Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou, who was snapped up by Forest on Tuesday.

The Gunners will be keen to shake off the sting of a 1-0 loss at Anfield that leaves them trailing Premier League title contenders Liverpool by three points. It's shaping up to be a jam-packed few weeks for Arsenal, with midweek matches lined up for the next three weeks across different tournaments. The Gunners kick off their Champions League journey away to Athletic Bilbao next Thursday before welcoming Manchester City on Sunday.

Here's all the latest news from the Emirates.

New signing in spat with Liverpool rival

Piero Hincapie clashed with Alexis Mac Allister on international duty

A fiery confrontation erupted between Piero Hincapie and Alexis Mac Allister during their countries' World Cup qualifier on Tuesday, fuelling the intense rivalry between Arsenal and Liverpool, reports the Mirror.

Hincapie, 23, has yet to don the Arsenal jersey after securing a season-long loan deal worth 45million on transfer deadline day. The defender jetted off to South America to join Ecuador's World Cup qualifying campaign, which culminated in a face-off against Argentina.

In the dying minutes of the match, Hincapie found himself at odds with Liverpool's Mac Allister following a robust tackle on Franco Mastantuono.

Bukayo Saka verdict reached

Meanwhile, Noni Madueke has been touted as a superior player to his Arsenal teammate Bukayo Saka. Madueke, 23, opened his account for England on Tuesday, scoring in the Three Lions' resounding 5-0 victory over Serbia in Belgrade.

Madueke was given the nod in Saka's absence, who was sidelined due to injury. However, ex-Manchester United defender Paul Parker believes Madueke should be starting ahead of Saka, even when he's fit.

"With the way he plays, I actually think he's better than Bukayo Saka," Parker told WhichBookie.

"Saka doesn't go on the outside, he doesn't have a great change of pace and he doesn't frighten defenders. Madueke does strike that fear into defenders because he wants to run at players and go past them."

Martin Odegaard dazzles in record-breaking triumph

Martin Odegaard led Norway to a staggering 11-1 thrashing of Moldova on Tuesday, contributing a goal and two assists.

The victory propelled Norway's World Cup dreams, putting them six points clear at the top of Group I and giving their goal difference a hefty boost - they're now eyeing their first World Cup appearance since 1998.

The Gunners' ace was pivotal in Norway's monumental victory. Odegaard, 26, crafted the most opportunities with seven, drew the most fouls (three), and won the most duels (nine).
