The quarter-final matches will take place during the week commencing Monday, December 15, with the fixtures expected to be played on December 16 (Tuesday) and December 17 (Wednesday).
While the draw throws out tough opposition for the clubs more fancied to win the competition, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Newcastle will all be relieved they have avoided playing against each other.
For these victorious teams, the first leg of the semi-final will be played on the week commencing January 12, and the second leg in the first week of February.
The final is at Wembley on March 22.
