A football legend's daughter is now an adult model who has posed for Playboy.
Former Argentina forward Claudio Caniggia will always be remembered for being the victim of one of the worst tackles in World Cup history, when Benjamin Massing kicked him so hard the Cameroon defender's own boot flew off in a shock 1-0 win in 1990. Caniggia, nicknamed El Pajaro - The Bird - on account of his flowing blond locks, rose to fame with Hellas Verona, Atalanta and Roma in Serie A, after leaving his native River Plate.
The 50-time Albieceleste international went on to have spells with Benfica, Boca Juniors and Atalanta again, before joining Rangers from fellow Scottish outfit Dundee in the twilight of his career. Caniggia, who turned 59 on Friday, became a fan favourite at Ibrox after scoring against Celtic in the Scottish League Cup final, as the Gers went on to win the domestic treble in the 2002/03 season. But now it's his daughter who has fans flocking to see her.
Caniggia married model Mariana Nannis during his playing days, having three children together, before Caniggia asked for a divorce and later married then-26-year-old model Sofia Bonelli in 2019. One of Caniggia and Mariana's children, Charlotte, has followed in her mother's footsteps, finding fame as an internet model.
Charlotte's Instagram of 1.9million followers is littered with pictures of her kitted out in lingerie, soaking in tubs and posing in bathroom mirrors. One video she posted of her topless in a bath with her modesty covered only by stickers was viewed more than 500,000 times before it was taken down by Insta censors.
But she hasn't stopped there, becoming one of the leading faces - and figures - on adult website Divas Play, selling over 18s only content including topless photos and steamy pics alongside Argentine Big Brother star Marian Farjat. The models are estimated to make thousands of pounds for every post on the platform.
The Buenos Aires-born babe does dabble in television, too, and has become a frequent fixture across numerous reality series in Spain and Latin America.
Charlotte once featured on MTV's Acapulco Shore, a 2021 spin-off of the hugely successful Jersey Shore. She's also turned out on the Argentinian version of Celebrity Masterchef, as well as featuring on programming in Chile and Italy to boot.
Perhaps none of her work on the small screen has attracted as many admirers as she's used to seeing on social media, however. Charlotte boasts millions followers across her Instagram and TikTok channels, where she seems happy to strip off for the good of the people.
Caniggia's twin brother, Alexander, is also highly active online and actually hosts his own television show called 'Los Desconocidos de Siempre' (or The Strangers Forever').
The heavily tattooed TV personality has the family surname inked across his knuckles and appears to have earned a more permanent place in programming.
As for whether she's at all intrigued the sport that made her father famous, Charlotte has no interest in 'the beautiful game'.
She didn't even attempt to feign a passion for the sport when previously quizzed on that particular topic, replying: "Do not ask me about football, I do not know anything about that, I do not like it."
To her credit, the 31-year-old appears to have earned her own share of the family spotlight without much need of football.
Instead, Charlotte has mimicked her mum by modelling her way to fame, but not without at least a smidge of her dad's extroverted verve.
