Football manager Ian 'Ollie' Holloway is another celeb convinced artificial intelligence will take over the world.
In an interview with the Daily Star's Mike Ward, the manager of Swindon Town FC has shared his fears of robots, alongside reincarnation and traffic wardens.
The 62-year-old insisted: I tell you, Mike, its going to happen. Theyll realise what we actually are: were the virus. Theyll get rid of us.
The Gloucestershire-born man also shared his opinion on UFOs, certain there are other life forms out there. Holloway is of the opinion that we cant be the only ones" and that the powers-that-be are simply keeping us in the dark.
We need to know, he asserted. We can deal with it.
Speaking of alien species, Ollie also gave his take on traffic wardens and the pure glee with which he reckons they issue each ticket. This is especially true of the warden at whom he once chucked a vacuum cleaner.
It was an early Dyson, he chortled, so quite a bit bigger than the cordless ones.
Holloway is clearly not your average manager, also moonlighting as an author with the release of his latest book, The (Mostly) Football World According To Ollie. A collection of his thoughts and anecdotes, the random book has been affectionately dubbed by its author as completely mad.
As youd expect when its author, aged 63, has been in the game for 45 years, playing or managing at a dozen different clubs, the book contains loads of football-themed reflections. But the non-football bits are just as compelling, such as the exploration of reincarnation.
In the book, Ollie initially claims he'd like to be reincarnated as a dog, but later says he'd like to come back as an eagle.
When pressed, the media personality responded in a roundabout way: "If I could soar that high, hardly having to flap my wings, and have a right good look around, thatd be wonderful.
Trouble is, when you landed, everyone would be scared of you and hate you. I wouldnt want that."
The eccentric character concluded: So Id like to switch to being a dog when I was on the ground. A nice one, mind you.
