When can Liverpool win Premier League title? Likely date and game for Reds glory

Liverpool are closing in on the Premier League title and the Reds could be confirmed as champions within the next month as they currently hold a 15-point lead over Arsenal

Liverpool are currently sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League, a whopping 15 points clear and Arne Slot's squad is on the brink of bagging the title.

The Reds widened the gap this weekend, taking down Southampton 3-1 while Arsenal could only manage a 1-1 draw with Manchester United.

With just nine games left on their plate, Liverpool are in a position no team has ever lost from at this stage of the season.

For Arsenal to snatch the title from Liverpool's grasp, they'd need to win all their remaining 10 matches and pray for the Reds to drop points equivalent to five losses.

Liverpool are set to host Arsenal on May 10, but the title might already be in the bag by then.

The earliest the Reds can pop the champagne is April 12 - if they beat Everton and Fulham in their next two games, and Arsenal lose to Chelsea, Fulham, and Everton, then stumble against Brentford.

If Arsenal lose their extra game against Chelsea but keep pace with Liverpool, Slot's side will clinch the league with four games to spare when they play Tottenham on April 27.

But if Arsenal win their extra game and match Liverpool's results, the Reds could be crowned champions on the weekend of May 3/4 when they square off against Chelsea.

Liverpool could be popping the champagne as early as their clash with Arsenal if they manage to stretch a lead of at least seven points with just a couple of matches left on the docket.

But don't expect them to lift that trophy right away - they'll be waiting until May 25, after their final home match against Crystal Palace, reports the Mirror.

It's set to be a historic spectacle as fans will finally get a chance to witness The Reds being crowned in person for the first time since 1990. Their last title run in 2020 had to be celebrated in an eerily empty stadium due to pandemic restrictions.

Mohamed Salah has been vocal about his keenness to clinch the title once more, but this time with the fans in full force.

"The greatest motivation is to win the Premier League, not even the Champions League because I always choose the Champions League," confessed Salah. For seven years I always say Champions League, this is the first year I say the Premier League.

"I just want to win the Premier League with the city and the fans, and to experience that day and go on a parade in the city is going to be incredible.

"It's going to be unforgettable because I know how much it means to win the Premier League."

Salah certainly isn't downplaying the sheer joy he'd get celebrating with the supporters crowding the streets for what promises to be an epic parade.
