Liverpool have shown their ambition in the transfer market this summer, bolstering their squad with seven new signings totalling nearly 300million as they aim to build on their Premier League title success from last season.
Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong, Giorgi Mamardashvili, Armin Pecsi and Freddie Woodman have all made the switch to Anfield. Meanwhile, funds have been raised through the departures of Luis Diaz, Jarell Quansah, Caoimhin Kelleher, Tyler Morton and Nat Phillips.
The list of outgoings looks to grow with another high profile departure nearly confirmed and the Reds casting their net far and wide for more attacking options, with Alexander Isak still on their radar along with a thrilling continental talent who could be heading to England's most successful football club.
With the transfer window open until September 1, more arrivals and departures are anticipated. Here's all the latest transfer news surrounding Liverpool.
Darwin Nunez is poised to join Saudi Pro League team Al-Hilal after a deal worth an initial 46m, potentially rising beyond 50m, was agreed with Liverpool, reports the Mirror.
Al-Hilal have outbid AC Milan for Nunez's services, and the forward is now expected to travel to Germany, where the club is currently training, for his medical.
The 26-year-old is set to earn around 400,000-per-week in Saudi Arabia. The Uruguayan scored 40 goals in 143 games for the Merseyside titans.
With Nunez's departure imminent, Liverpool are likely to intensify their pursuit of Alexander Isak, having already had a 110m offer turned down by Newcastle.
Paris Saint-Germain star Bradley Barcola has been linked with a move to Liverpool as a potential alternative to Alexander Isak. However, Mirror Football understands a transfer is unlikely.
Liverpool are known to be fans of Barcola, but they reckon PSG are unlikely to let him go and as such, have no plans to pursue the winger, who has 26 goals in 103 appearances for the Champions League winners.
The Reds also believe that bringing in a player like 22-year-old Barcola could hinder the progress of promising 16-year-old Rio Ngumoha.
Liverpool's chase for Marc Guehi seems to have received a shot in the arm after Newcastle reportedly shifted their focus to another target.
Both Liverpool and Newcastle have been strongly linked with the Crystal Palace defender, 25, but Sky Sports Germany reports the Magpies are now eyeing AC Milan's Malick Thiaw.
The report suggests that Newcastle have tabled a written offer for Thiaw worth around 26m.
Italian outfit Como are also keen on the defender, having had a bid of approximately 22m turned down last month.
While Guehi would be extremely unlikely to choose Newcastle over Liverpool, it removes one obstacle from the Reds' pursuit of the player.
