Manchester City fans appeared to have lost the plot as footage showed supporters fighting among themselves after Arsenal humiliation.
Pep Guardiolas side were humbled by the rampant Gunners who knocked five past City on Sunday afternoon. Arsenal kept up the pressure on Premier League leaders Liverpool with a statement 5-1 result, that saw five different goalscorers find the back of the net against City.
But it proved that City are still in crisis despite back-to-back wins against Chelsea and Club Brugge giving the Blues hope that light was at the end of the tunnel of their worst run under Guardiola. Citys defeat was the biggest of Guardiolas illustrious career and it appears that frustration boiled over in the stands.
Footage posted to social media showed two City fans trading punches after the final whistle. Other supporters attempted to separate the scrapping fans, seeing one of the peacemakers take a heavy tumble out of the camera shot.
The handbags eventually cooled from the fist-throwing antics as the two supporters continued to exchange what we imagine werent pleasantries before the clip finished.
Fans reacted to the video that was posted on social media, with one user asking: Are Man City losing the plot? A second said: Falling apart that club, with a third adding: They look old enough to know better, losing their heads, sad.
City face League One Leyton Orient on Saturday in the FA Cup fourth round before the first of their two-legged Champions League knockout playoff round against Real Madrid.
The Citizens run toughens again with Newcastle United, Liverpool, Tottenham and Nottingham Forest their next four league games.
