Manchester United held on to secure a crucial three points against Chelsea in the Premier League at Old Trafford.
Bruno Fernandes gave the hosts the lead when he stabbed home in front of Filip Jorgensen, who was forced to replace Robert Sanchez after he was sent off just five minutes in for cleaning out Bryan Mbeumo outside the box as the last man.
Casemiro then doubled the lead with a point-blank header, but he was sent off for a second yellow, throwing Uniteds control into doubt.
United commanded the game and appeared in cruise control until Trevoh Chalobah scored a free header from Reece James cross after a short corner.
The energy went out of Uniteds play after Casemiros red card and the sodden state of the Old Trafford pitch, made for an ugly second-half.
Ruben Amorim was a picture of the position he's currently in, with the under pressure boss nervously walking back and down his technical area until the full-time whistle. But it's a critical three points to relieve the tension.
Altay Bayindir 6: His long pass found Benjamin Sesko to nod through, leading to Robert Sanchezs red card. Didnt make a save until he picked the ball out of his net from Chalobahs header. Waited until injury time to flap at his first cross of the game to almost gift Chelsea an equaliser. Nothing to do.
Matthijs de Ligt 7: Enjoyed his role on the right, stepping forward to support attacks. Goal saving clearance from Reece James low cross early in the second half.
Harry Maguire 7: Marshalled the back line well before he was replaced. A fine performance in his first league start of the season. His aerial presence was missed for Chelsea's goal.
Luke Shaw 7: His determination to throw himself at a header in the crowded Chelsea box forced the second goal. Revelled in the freedom of joining in attacks after Enzo Maresca took off half of Chelseas frontline in the first-half.
Noussair Mazraoui 7: Had the better of Marc Cucurella going forward and tracked Joao Pedro back brilliantly to quell a dangerous counter attack. Hell hope to hold down the right-wing-back role after a good display. Replaced by Matheus Cunha shortly after the hour mark.
Casemiro 5: Doubled the lead with a header in the latest of his big goals for United. Was booked early on for a needless late lunge on Enzo Fernandez before receiving a harsh but clumsy second yellow. Threw the game into doubt with United in complete command.
Bruno Fernandes 8: Opened the scoring latching onto the end of Dorgus header across the box. Performed his duties in the midfield of the United midfield brilliant after question marks were raised about his role. Star man.
Patrick Dorgu 7: Started the brightest down the left and got the assist for Fernandes goal - only the second of his United career.
Bryan Mbeumo 7: Showed a clean pair of heels to beat Sanchez to the ball for the Chelsea keepers red card. The brightest in Uniteds frontline again. Substituted off in the 70th minute.
Amad Diallo 7: Had his chance back in the frontline with Matheus Cunha only fit enough for the bench. Tidy in possession. Dropped to wing-back after the Brazilian came off the bench.
Benjamin Sesko 6: His ability as a target man led to Sanchezs red card. Showed promising signs and should have been fed by Amad for a potential tap in but not up to scratch yet. Sacrificed at half-time for Manuel Ugarte after Casemiros red card.
Manuel Ugarte 6: Brought on at half-time to keep Uniteds midfield shape after Casemiros red card.
Matheus Cunha 6: Introduced for Mazraoui to lead the line with Mbeumo. Attempted to stretch the play in behind.

Leny Yoro 4: Proved to be fresh legs on the right side of Uniteds back three on a heavy pitch. Left Trevoh Chalobah unmarked for Chelseas goal.
Mason Mount 5: Faced his old club, unlike Alejandro Garnacho who was overlooked on the bench. Struggled to make an impression in an ugly second half.
Kobbie Mainoo N/A: Brought on for Fernandes late to help see through the win.
