The glamorous partner of former Chelsea star Marc Cucurella has admitted she is struggling to find the words to tell her children that the defender will no longer represent the Blues following his big money switch to Real Madrid.
Rumours surrounding the curly-haired Cucurella's future at Stamford Bridge had been swirling for weeks, yet the confirmation that a deal had been struck for him to join Spanish giants Real still caught many off guard when it was officially announced on Sunday evening not least because the 27-year-old is currently stateside with his native Spain at the World Cup.
Cucurella heads to Jose Mourinho's side for a sweet 51.7million fee, including add-ons. He arrived at Chelsea from Brighton in 2022 after catching the eye during his time with the Seagulls in the Premier League.
Claudia Rodriguez, Cucurella's wife, turned to social media to share a heartfelt goodbye message to Chelsea fans, revealing how challenging it would be for their young family to leave the Blues behind.

She posted on Instagram: "I don't know how to say goodbye to my home. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this experience.
"I feel so lucky for everything we've shared these past years. I arrived with two babies and I'm leaving with two little boys and a British girl, and I don't know how I'm going to explain to them that Chelsea is no longer part of our lives.
"Everything we've experienced these past years has been a pure learning experience; we've lived through it all, but above all, we've enjoyed this journey. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this chapter of our lives, thank you to my girls, whom I'm going to miss a lot, and thank you to every Blue I've met. I wish you all the best; London will always be Blue."
