Manchester United ace Marcus Rashford showered his team-mates with praise following their triumph against Fulham.

Rashford was over the moon with the three points - despite coach Ruben Amorim's bizarre claim that hed rather bench his 63-year-old goalkeeping coach than the forward.

After United secured a 1-0 victory over Fulham, Amorim discussed Rashfords future amid swirling speculation as the transfer window is coming to a close.

We missed a little bit of pace to go and change the game and move some pieces," Amorim said before continuing candid admission: "But I prefer it like that.

"I would put [goalkeeper coach Jorge] Vital before I put the player who does not give the maximum every day so I will not change in that department. It's always the same reason. The reason is the training.

"The way I see what a footballer should do in training, in life, every day. If things don't change, I will not change. Same situation for every player, if you do the maximum, if you do the right things, we can use every player."

With all this unfolding, Rashford reacted by posting a simple yet classy message on his Instagram story: "Congratulations on the win lads".

Not having graced the pitch for any of United's last 11 fixtures in all tournaments, Rashford's absence started since being sidelined for the Manchester derby.

Marcus Rashford posted on social media

After that match, Rashford hinted at an exit from Old Trafford, saying: "For me, personally, I think I'm ready for a new challenge and the next steps. When I leave it's going to be 'no hard feelings'.

"You're not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United," reports the Mirror.

"That's me as a person. If I know that a situation is already bad I'm not going to make it worse. I've seen how other players have left in the past and I don't want to be that person. When I leave I'll make a statement and it will be from me."

Rashford has been rumoured to be on his way to Barcelona on loan, but whether this transfer will happen before the window closes is still up in the air. "I don't know," Amorim admitted prior to the Fulham clash when quizzed about Rashford's future with the team.

"I really don't know. Guys, it's eight days. We will see in the end of the window what happened. And then we will talk about that in the moment."
