Mia Khalifa has seriously bolstered her finances in a big way as she claimed to collect a huge $1.6 million (around 1.2m) bet after backing Spain to beat Argentina in the World Cup final.

The former adult star was in attendance at the New York New Jersey stadium last night (July 19) as she wore a Barcelona shirt with wonderkid Lamine Yamal's name on the back in support of Spain. Luckily for Mia, Spain's Ferran Torres sealed a 1-0 win in extra time.

Mia, who has been rooting against Argentina since the semi-final stages, put her money where her mouth is as she bet exactly $1m on Spain to win at odds of 1.65, according to her image from betting site 1Win.

She shared images of her experience during the World Cup Final as well as screenshots of her winning bet on Instagram.

Mia wrote: Believed and won big. So proud of my home country Spain (not a drop of Spanish blood in me).

She further commented about the bet on her Instagram stories, saying: "LMFAOOOOOOO all sports betting is at the end it the day is calling in and listening to your divine intuition."

Mia also commented how she was thankful to be able to "be here hating on Messi in person."

The influencer had been winding up fans in recent days by publicly stating she was rooting against Argentina with some of her followers questioning why. Mia was happy to explain her reasonings in a post just hours before the final was played.

Mia said she was rooting against VARgentina, as she called them, for the "love of the game."

Writing on 1Win, who she is an ambassador for, Mia said: "Im a little witchy so I love the fact that some outlet reported that Lamine Yamal is 19, playing on the 19th, wearing number 19. Numbers dont lie!!!! And I dont mean stats, I mean numerology!! Aside from that Im rooting against Argentina solely for the love of the game of hating.

"if I have to pick a lesser of two colonial evils, I think VARgentina are the far worse!! Im hoping for a 3-1 Spain final, with a goal from Lamine Yamal, and another post game slap for an Argentina player. Id settle for either, tho!! (sic)."

Just days before the final, Mia appeared to becoming a fan of Jude Bellingham and said she may be getting a shirt with his name on the back.

She said this was after the England star appeared to 'slap' an Argentina player following the Three Lions defeat in the World Cup semi-finals last Wednesday (July 15).

Bellingham appeared upset with Argentina's Valentin Barco at the end of the game as he appeared to get into an altercation with the unused substitute.

However, new footage showed Barco had previously wound up England's players after charging towards the Three Lions' team when Argentina equalised instead of celebrating with his own players.

Mia appeared to enjoy Bellingham's reaction and wrote: "The might buy a Bellingham kit just for that slap lmfaoooooooo."
