Myles Lewis-Skelly trolls Erling Haaland after Man City star's harsh taunt to Arsenal ace

Myles Lewis-Skelly scored his first Arsenal goal in the 5-1 win over Manchester City and celebrated by copying Erling Haaland's trademark celebration in a clear dig at the striker

Myles Lewis-Skelly trolled Erling Haaland by mimicking his trademark celebration after netting Arsenal's third goal in their 5-1 demolition of Manchester City.

Lewis-Skelly confidently drove the ball past Stefan Ortega, solidifying the Gunners' command of Sunday evening's Premier League mismatch. The young player had made his debut in the previous fixture against City.

During that encounter at the Etihad, Haaland was caught on camera asking 'who the f*** are you?' to the Arsenal youngster amid heated post-match scenes. In a clear response to that taunt, Lewis-Skelly replicated Haaland's signature celebration after scoring. The 18-year-old sprinted towards one of the corner flags before sitting down, crossing his legs, closing his eyes and raising his hands in a meditation pose. This celebration has become a trademark of Haaland since his rise to fame at Borussia Dortmund, reports the Mirror.

Lewis-Skelly was positioned as left-back for Arsenal in Sunday's high-stakes Premier League showdown, with his team lagging behind leaders Liverpool by nine points - now reduced to six. Since their draw in September, City have had a dismal season and are battling to secure a top four spot.

Sunday's thrashing will undoubtedly heap more pressure on them, with Haaland largely silenced by Arsenal's defence, which included Lewis-Skelly. The young player received glowing reviews for his performance, with ex-England star Matt Upson asserting he should now be considered Arsenal's first-choice left-back."What a moment for this young man. How cool has Myles Lewis-Skelly taken that goal. His celebration is cool enough and it looks like he is meditating by himself," remarked Upson on BBC Radio 5 Live."What a moment this is. He knows his surroundings perfectly. He shifts it onto his weaker right foot, but hits a decent effort into the right post. What a game Myles Lewis-Skelly is having. Riccardo Calafiori is going to have one hell of a fight to get back into the team."

Haaland's first-half performance also attracted some teasing when Martin Odegaard quickly put Arsenal ahead within mere minutes. The Gunners captain capitalised after Manuel Akanji fumbled possession close to his own goal line.Arsenal's Gabriel charged past Haaland in celebration, yelling right in the face of the striker. However, Haaland had a chance to respond when he nodded in City's leveller after half-time.The home side didn't let up, and were promptly leading again when Phil Foden's errant pass ended up with Thomas Partey, whose shot deflected off John Stones and found the net. Next, Lewis-Skelly claimed his third before Kai Havertz beautifully arced in another.Wrapping up the match in its final moments, substitute Ethan Nwaneri drilled a spectacular fifth goal from the edge of the box after making an impressive cut inside.
