Tim Lovejoy has got the band back together for his latest venture - Soccer Amen. Lovejoy, who hosted the cult classic TV show in the noughties, shared a picture alongside the cast as fans begged for an "unbelievable" return.
Soccer AM was shown the red card by Sky Sports after the 2022/23 season and fans have been desperate for an onscreen return ever since.
And they might have just got their wish as Lovejoy launched Soccer Amen on Tuesday morning. Taking to social media, he said: "Lovejoy, Tubes, Robbie and Sheephead are back every Saturday. Watch or listen and join in on Spotify or YouTube. Any questions for the gang? Want to take part in the quiz? Seen anything you think they should know about, then start following us." The news comes after a star footballer drowned in front of his horrified lover as he went for a river swim on a romantic holiday.
The first show will launch on Saturday (August 9). And its announcement has sparked a frenzy among fans, with one taking to X to say: "Podcast coming back would be class, but if its the OG Soccer AM.... unbelievable."
"Hearts top of the league and Soccer AM lads back...What a start to the week," one fan posted. While a second said: "Love it the boys! Saturday mornings? Live? 10-12 am please..."
"Obviously with it being 2025 it wont be like the old days but I hope its close! Might make me full back in love with football," a third replied. As a fourth responded: "Make a pitch to sky. Need you guys back on tele every Saturday morning!"
And another added: "This is great news!"

However, other fans were disappointed that Helen Chamberlain, Lovejoy's partner in crime on the Soccer AM set, wasn't part of the announcement.
They can still catch her alongside Lovejoy on their Soccer A-Z podcast. "The first one is me and Helen getting back together with some of the gang," Lovejoy told Chris Moyles on Radio X when the show launched.
"The first show is seeing what everyone's been up to."
