Uri Geller reckons England fans can help nobble Lionel Messi using the power of their minds

The supernatural spoon bender said that with the help of Daily Star readers he can use his lifelong powers and channel it into a laser beam of psychic thought to take out the threat of Messi and put England on the path to victory.

Focus on Messi and think negative thoughts

Uri Geller says he and England fans can use the power of their minds to help stop Lionel Messi and Argentina from being triumphant in tonight's World Cup semi-final.

The mentalist spoonbender - who claims he has been using his powers to help the Three Lions since Euro 96 - says readers need to concentrate on the above picture of Lionel Messi and think negative thoughts, and think positively about Kane or Bellingham.

He claims he will harness this energy use his 'powers' and blast a laser beam of psychic thought through the TV and into the game. In an exclusive chat, Uri, said: "There is no doubt England has an incredible team and now has an unbelievable chance of going all the way.

"But Argentina is dangerous and the psychological power of Messi alone could weaken us. We cannot let this happen, and I am telling you that with our collective energy we can instil in England an invisible force which will make them unstoppable.

"I promise you, I will use all my psychic powers to harness the willpower of millions of England fans dreaming of reaching the final. I have no doubt Argentine psychics will be using all their powers to influence the game, but I can beat them.

"Don't forget, I neutralised the Ghanaian witch doctor who put a voodoo curse on Harry Kane, and I used my powers to help England knock out Norway. Now with the help of Daily Star readers, I can take out the threat of Messi and put England on the path to victory. "

He explained what fans need to do to guarantee a victory for Thomas Tuchel's side in Atlanta tonight (July 15). He added: "All you need to do is concentrate on the picture of Messi - which I have already studied and locked into my mind - and think negative thoughts, and think positively about Kane or Bellingham.

'That collective motivation will race through the atmosphere and using my lifelong powers I will channel it into a laser beam of psychic thought which I will blast through the TV and into the game.

'I am confident that with the help of enough fans, you could see strange things happen on the pitch and England will clinch the match. Together we can do this!'

Adding: "But I want to remind you that I am not a miracle worker nor a prophet but I strongly believe in the power and energy of the England fans!"

Earlier in the week Geller claimed he was behind the bizarre ball behaviour that led to Englands controversial World Cup quarter-final equaliser.

The supernatural spoonbender - who claims he has been using his powers to help the Three Lions since Euro 96 - insisted he was the reason the ball suddenly dropped out of the sky straight to the England team to score.

Norway claimed it hit a wire feeding the eye-in-the-sky spidercam above the Miami Stadium pitch - which should have seen the goal chalked off. But FIFA said sensors in the ball did not show any contact, Jude Bellinghams strike stood and England won 2-1 after extra-time.

From his home in Israel, Uri claimed responsibility for what the Norwegian manager moaned had been a pass "straight from heaven". Uri claimed he helped the Three Lions in Euro 96 when he used his mind to move the ball on the penalty spot so Scotland missed. The mystic, whose Israel museum boasts balls signed by Messi and Ronaldo and a shirt by Maradona, said he helped Englands men overcome arch rivals Germany at Euro 2020 by asking fans to touch his handprint and imagine the Three Lions scoring.

He claims he has also used his powers to help David Beckham, Wayne Rooney and Harry Kane overcome injuries before big tournaments.
