Arsenal's summer signing Viktor Gyokeres is up and running after he netted a stunning solo goal against Leeds United on Saturday evening

Viktor Gyokeres netted his maiden Premier League goal

Viktor Gyokeres has netted his first Premier League goal as he twisted and turned his way through the Leeds United defence.

The Gunners were playing with the swagger of champions and Leeds struggled to keep pace with Mikel Arteta's side. Jurrien Timber and Bukayo Saka had both found the net in the first-half and Arsenal came out into the second period two goals to the good.

Gyokeres had missed a golden chance to net his first Premier League goal - but when he was handed another chance in the second-half he didn't another invitation.

The Swedish superstar picked up the ball on the left wing and cut inside, taking two Leeds players out of the game before firing the ball past the outstretched arms of Lucas Perri.

"Big moment. Big, big Moment," Gary Neville said on Sky Sports comms. "It's a relief, a feeling off: phew, he's scored.

"It's the first time we've seen him one on one with someone and face them up. It's not great defending - but he's powerful and strong."

"Viktor Gyokeres is up and running in an Arsenal shirt - the relief is evident," one fan posted. While a second said: "I don't think there is any Arsenal fans right now who is watching the game and hasn't done the Gyokeres celebration after his goal!"

"Gyokeres has to do it himself because the only creator (Eze) isnt playing yet," a third joked. While a fourth posted: "He needed that goal. Hell be a big hit in the Premier League!"

Gyokeres is now up and running in time for the Gunners' big clash with Liverpool next weekend - who they are hoping to usurp at the top of the Premier League table.
