Wayne Rooneys record at Birmingham City was even more dire than the Premier Leagues worst ever manager.
Rooney, 38, was given the sack on Tuesday less than three months into his tenure at St Andrew's. The Manchester United legends woeful spell came to a crashing halt after his sides 3-0 drubbing at Leeds on New Years Day.
His short time in charge saw the Blues fall dramatically from sixth in the Championship to 20th with just one win since November. And Rooneys diabolical record of just two wins in 15 games at the helm puts him at the top of the pantheon of dreadful managerial tenures.

Uniteds all-time leading goal-scorer could not translate his own offensive skills as a player to his Birmingham team. That left him with a shockingly bad win percentage of 13.3, topping that of Frank de Boers at Crystal Palace (20%).

De Boer was appointed by Palace as a promising young manager hoping to impose his progressive Dutch brand of football in 2017. He lasted just four league matches before having his three-year contract scrapped, having lost all four without scoring a single goal.
He did manage a win in an EFL Cup second-round game against Ipswich, resulting in a 20% win ratio. Yet his 77-day tenure is seen as one of the lousiest ever in English football, even seeing him branded by then-Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho as the worst manager in the top flight's history.
Birmingham made the bizarre call to dismiss John Eustace in October in favour of Rooney, despite the former propelling them towards the promotion spots. Rooney had struggled as DC United head coach beforehand, having seen his win percentage dip to 25.9% and his side eliminated from play-off contention in 2023.
It remains to be seen who the club and minority owner Tom Brady will turn to as Rooney's successor. The former England captains next step in football is also unknown as of yet.
