Kyle's racing team, Richard Childress Racing, also released a statement wishing their driver a "speedy recovery".
They said: "Kyle Busch's health is our upmost priority and he and his family have the full resources of RCR behind them. Kyle is an integral part of our organization and we wish him a safe and speedy recovery."
Austin Hill has been confirmed to take Kyle's seat in Charlotte this weekend as Richard Childress Racing continue the season in the North Carolina Education Lottery 200.
Richard Childress Racing added: "'We're thankful to Austin Hill for stepping in to drive the No. 8 Chevrolet this weekend,' the Childress Racing statement continued. 'Please keep Kyle and the Busch family in your prayers, and help us respect the family's privacy at this time."
His team also said it is currently unclear if Kyle will return to racing but that his seat would be "ready and waiting" for him.
Kyle, whose older younger brother is fellow NASCAR driver Kurt Busch, has had huge success in the sport with NASCAR Cup Series titles in 2015 and 2019.
