Paige Spiranac has revealed the reason she has stepped back from posting online as she opened up about her health battle.
The golf influencer is one of the biggest sporting names on social media with her building a following of four million followers on Instagram and amassing millions more on her various other platforms.
However, Spiranac has noticeably been less active on social media in recent months. Most of her supporters would have spotted her uploads being reeled in from previous eye-popping poses and racy outfits over time. And the reason now appears to be clear.

Answering a question asking how she was doing and about her content, Spiranac bravely opened up to explain why she is posting less and appears to have taken a step back.
I am in a bit of a funk, a rut if you will, and it's not like a one or two day thing, Spiranac explained while thanking her fan for asking how she is.
This has been going on for a little bit. I feel like Ive just been so in my head about everything and Im just trying to work through it.
I think thats why I havent been posting as much because I am just overthinking everything and I just feel like my anxiety has taken control.
I'm trying to push myself outside of that and post more and get back to what I was doing before. I feel like I havent been active because I've just been in my own head, in this kind of funky rut that I am in and we are working through it.
The influencer then continued to expand on her mental health in a separate post where she explained she has stopped playing golf so much to focus on herself.
I almost felt bad for myself for such a long time and I was frustrated why people werent seeing me in a certain way or seeing me for me, she said.
And then I realised that theyre only seeing what Im showing. I can sit there and I can complain about it, or I can do something about it. And thats showing more of myself and my personality.
I think that I put so many walls up because this job can be draining sometimes and quite soul-sucking.
I think I put barriers up to protect myself and started to morph and change into a person that I didnt really recognise and that I didnt see as well.
Her confession comes just weeks after she vowed to interact more with her fans this year. But it sounds as though she doesnt intend to backtrack on that.
She added: This year its more about showing and less explaining and trying to defend myself and just being who I am.
