The UK Snooker Championship was suspended due to a spectator medical emergency as Judd Trump was in action.
The championship held in York experienced a delay of some 15 minutes during Trump's match against Neil Robertson as a fan had fallen ill on the table two side of the arena. Play was suspended across both tables as spectators were asked to leave.
A spectator fell ill during the second frame, with Robertson leading 1-0 at the time. The players initially left the arena, before the audience at the Barbican Theatre were asked to do the same to allow treatment to be administered.

Commentators on Eurosport described the moment as a "serious incident". A short statement released by the WST read: "Play has been suspended as a member of the crowd has been taken ill."
Fans took to X to show their shock with one saying: "[I've] never known them to clear the arena for an unwell person. Hope everything is okay." Another said: "Thoughts are with the spectator taken unwell at the Snooker in York. The welfare of players, officials, spectators and arena staff are important at all events."

Play got back underway following the delay. Trump was trying to win his second UK Snooker Championship as he faced Robertson in the last-32 tie.
The UK Championship is the first Triple Crown event of the season, one of three majors alongside the World Championship and The Masters. John Higgins was playing on the other side of the partition, taking on Chinese youngster He Guoqiang.
