Snooker streaker whipped clothes off before running past Ronnie O'Sullivan at Masters final

A busty secretary by the name of Lianne Crofts brought a new meaning to the term blue balls when she whipped off her clothes and strutted around naked at the 1997 Masters snooker final

Ronnie OSullivan was once left with a cheeky grin on his face after a naked snooker streaker ran past him at the Masters.

The 1997 final of the competition, which gets underway for this year on Sunday, saw Steve Davis take on a young OSullivan, where the former pulled off a stunning 10-8 victory after being 4-8 down. But Davis third triumph at the tournament was far from the most memorable or pulse-raising moment of the match.

Deserving of that award, if one was ever actually handed out, was sexy secretary Lianne Crofts. Lianne stole the show during the third frame, ending any accusations that snooker is a boring sport and making sure everyone in attendance had their eyes peeled on the action thereafter.

With O'Sullivan 4-0 ahead, whoops and whistles went up from the crowd as the busty babe burst out from the crowd and wildly jumped around the table. During the hilarious scenes, the stunned referee didn't know where to look, though the TV cameras certainly did.

Broadcasters caught every moment of Crofts ambitious stunt, from her incredible breast-bouncing entry to her dash to the sidelines and her hand-waving return to the centre of the arena. No sooner had it begun when Crofts was swiftly escorted away from the table by security.

O'Sullivan clearly saw the funny side of the shocking escapade and covered the referees eyes with his hand as he struggled to hold in his own laughter. Meanwhile, Davis sat in the corner chuckling to himself.

The secretary, in her early 20s at the time, revealed the intimate details of her 15 seconds of fame in an interview with The People in 1999. She explained: "Watching a football match with my parents when I was six, we saw a streaker run onto the pitch.

"I can remember jumping up and down and saying that I wanted to do that when I grew up. Two years ago, I did. I don't particularly like snooker, but I was in London visiting some friends when I heard about a championship.

"It came to me as quick as a flash, if you'll excuse the pun. A big snooker championship would be a great place to do my streak.

"Snooker matches are dead boring anyway, so I thought I'd cheer one up a little. I was dead nervous as I settled into my seat with these old dears all around me. I sat next to the aisle, not too far back from the actual playing area. I hoped I'd be able to plant a kiss on Steve Davis's cheek and reckoned it would be really easy. There was nothing I'd have to clamber over.

"Throughout the first 30 minutes, I was literally on the edge of my seat, both bored rigid and whipped up to a frenzy. Then, to the horror of a very respectable lady and gentleman next to me, I proceeded to whip off all my clothes. I'd deliberately put on a skirt and top that I knew I'd be able to get out of easily. Then I tore down the steps, stark naked!

"It all happened so quickly. Before I knew it, I was down by the table. It was only a matter of seconds, of course, before someone put a coat around me and yanked me off. I had time to blow a kiss at the camera, but sadly I didn't have time to kiss Steve. He had his back turned to me and said afterwards that he would have been livid if I'd distracted him."
