Tyson Fury came out to the ring dressed in a Santa Claus outfit, but still couldnt defeat Oleksandr Usyk.
Fury, 36, came out sporting a hefty beard, determined to avenge the split decision loss he endured at the hands of the Ukrainian boxer, 37, back in May. But the rematch with Usyk didn't go as planned, resulting in a defeat for the Gypsy King.
Before any blows were traded, Fury certainly won the battle of the walk-outs as he entered the ring to the tune of All I Want For Christmas Is You, by Mariah Carey.
While Fury belted out the words to the catchy Christmas tune, his hordes of fans were laughing all the way. One wrote on X: "Tyson Fury just walked out to Mariah Carey wearing a Santa suit."
Another added: "This is the most Tyson Fury thing ever." Another chimed: "Fury really went all in on the Santa bit.
From the get-go, Fury took control of the ring, showing more determination to take the fight to Usyk than in their previous meeting. Despite being taller than the champion, the Brit was also taking body shots and by the second round, he was being pursued around the ring by Usyk a recurring theme from their first fight.
The pace was dictated by Usyk, but both fighters were landing punches in an energetic start to the match.
When the bout concluded, Fury seemed to think he'd nabbed the win as he lifted his arm triumphantly, whereas Usyk fell to his knees in prayerful reflection, only for Fury to then kiss him atop his head in a poignant moment of respect.
But the judges unanimously granted Usyk the glory, with scores of 116-112 across the board.
In an intriguing twist, AI tally, courtesy of Turki Alalshikh, rated Usyk's victory even more decisively at 118-112.
But Fury later had an answer for that, telling the media: "Computers can f*** off!"
