The Daily Star: News with a Wink

Drew McIntyre takes mid-match WrestleMania 41 selfie as photo goes viral

Drew McIntyre was successful in his match with Damian Priest but it was not the match itself that stole the show, but his ringside antics with his brother that went viral

Drew McIntyre has had a viral WrestleMania 41 moment after posting a selfie he took during his brutal Sin City Street fight with Damian Priest.

The post got almost 2m views in just under 30mins as fans went wild for the Scottish warrior's mid-match antics.

The Sin City Street Fight certainly did not disappoint, but it was McIntyre's selfie antics which stole the show.

While on the outside with Priest, McIntyre's brother handed him the phone for a quick snap, and as Priest is sat in agony, McIntyre throws up an offensive gesture (which we have blurred).

It is not the first time McIntyre has done this, as last year he decided to take a snap with his wife.

Many may say, you should stick on your opponent, but since he keeps winning and doing it, I guess the mid-match selfie will be his thing for a long time to come.

Earlier this year, McIntyre spoke to the Daily Star and gave his thoughts on The Rock ahead of WrestleMania.

He told us: "The Rock has actively looked out for me my whole career since I was a kid. Himself and his business partner ex-wife Danny have always said such positive things to me. He put me over in a TMZ interview when I wasnt doing anything in particular that justified him saying I was going to be the next big star when I re-signed with the company.

"You know, hed sent the sword, sent me some really nice words that Ill never reveal to the world. We got a chance to catch up at the Chamber. We had a really good talk and there are some things on the horizon, some big things in the world. Well see when its time."

Priest set the crowd ablaze when he entered. In a huge WWE moment, Slayer's Kerry King played Priest's entrance theme as he headed into the ring.

This comes after a night of shock victories on night two of WrestleMania 41.

Dirty Dominik Mysterio blew everyone away when he won the Intercontinental Championship after he pinned Finn Balor.

Iyo Sky showed her prowess by moonsaulting her way to retain the Women's World Championship at the start of the night.
