Animal Crossing New Horizons sea creatures leaving in August - What sea creatures do you need to catch in July?

There's only a handful of days left until the start of August, so lets recap which sea creatures will be leaving at the end of July 2020.

Animal Crossing release trailer for summer update

A new month is fast approaching and that can only mean one thing to players of Animal Crossing New Horizons - new creatures to catch.

But, it also means some bugs, fish, and deap-sea creatures will also be leaving the game, too.

Such is the seasonal nature of Animal Crossing after all.

It's worth mentioning as well that with Nintendo previously promising a second Summer update, it's possible yet more changes could be afoot.

That second update doesn't have a release date just yet, but it's expected to arrive "early August".

The end of the Summer update trailer showed fireworks, so we imagine it will be lots of fun all the same.

For now, lets focus on those all-important deep sea creatures leaving at the end of July, which means players have less than 5 days to go before the big change takes place.

Deep-Sea Creatures Leaving Animal Crossing New Horizons in August

At the start of July Nintendos first summer update was released, bringing Animal Crossing New Horizons players to dive into the sea and catch new deep-sea creatures.

There wasn't the only addition, mind.

A new visitor named Pascal, and plenty of new outfits and home customisations became available too. But that's by the by.

Despite only being added at the start of July, there will be some changes to the list of deep-sea creatures available to catch in August.

As per Fandom, New Horizons has a total of 40 deep-sea creatures in total.

But in the northern hemisphere, there is one deep-sea creature which will be departing at the start of August.

We say, 'creature'. But it's actually Seaweed, which is a bit of a cop-out if you ask us.

In the southern hemisphere, there are 2 deep-sea creatures set to leave at the start of August.
