Call of Duty fans that stick to Warzone might be feeling a tad deflated that the Season 2 update is focused primarily on improving the base game rather than rolling out a whole host of new content, but there are still plenty of reasons to be cheerful.
For one, Activision continues to target cheaters in the battle royale, plus there are new perks, Ranked Rewards, and weapon and movement changes to look forward to.
Add to that the same new weapons found in Black Ops 6 and there's plenty to log in for and that's to say nothing of an upcoming Terminator crossover event.
With new features across Black Ops 6 and Warzone, there's an awful lot to cover. We've covered this year's mainline instalment separately with its own patch notes, but here we're focused on the free-to-play battle royale.
Here's everything you need to know about Warzone Season 2 when it arrives on January 28.
While Call of Duty updates used to launch on Wednesdays, we saw Season 1 Reloaded land on a Thursday, while Season 2 is coming on a Tuesday.
That means you'll be able to start playing at 5pm GMT / 12pm EST / 9am PST today, January 28.
As a reminder, the update is free, but CoD file sizes tend to be pretty large - be sure to clear some space if you need to. On PC, Battle.net let me preload and it came to just under 20GB.
