Xbox has hit back with a load of new video game announcements after last weeks PlayStation summer reveal dump.
The console rival held a Games Showcase at the weekend to show fans whats coming up for its Xbox Series X machine as well as PC and even some titles headed for PS5.
The events were topped by the big gameplay and trailer reveal for October blockbuster Call of Duty Black Ops 6, which features all the explosions and bombast youd expect from the classic gun game.

A spokesman said: Developed by Treyarch and Raven Software, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller where nothing is as what it seems.
In this mind-bending narrative set in the early 1990s, a shadowy force has infiltrated the U.S. government and players will be forced to go rogue for the first time.
Were also getting a new Doom game for the first time in years called The Dark Ages.

We also got a first gameplay look at Assassins Creed Shadows, which launches on November 15.
It gives players a chance to explore 16th Century Japan as Naoe, an adept shinobi from the province of Iga; and Yasuke, a powerful samurai and Assassins Creeds first fully playable historical figure.
There were also reveals for a new Dragon age game from Electronic Arts, zombie fighter State of Decay 3 and Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater, which serves as an intuitive introduction to the beginning of the Metal Gear Solid saga as they step into the boots of Snake in a high-stakes, espionage thriller.

Fans of Activision, Bethesda, Blizzard, Xbox Game Studios, or the countless partners building for Xbox were treated to a peek at whats coming for their favourite franchises and new games alike.
