Rage 2 Settler Pistol: How to unlock the pre-order exclusive Settler Pistol?

Rage 2s preorder-exclusive mission, Cult of the Death God, unlocks the classic Settler Pistol. Heres where to find it.

If you preordered Rage 2, you might have been expecting access to the Cult of the Death God mission that was advertised alongside your preorder.

Players that complete this mission unlocks the Settler Pistol, the primary weapon of the original Rages protagonist, Nicholas Raine. It isnt all that easy to find, however, so weve put together a quick guide to ease you through the process of unlocking the Settler Pistol.

After youve assisted John Marshall in the town of Gunbarrel - its an early story mission, you have to complete it - he should radio to tell you about an old friend to the west. Following the marker set for you will lead you to the Decrepit House in the south of the Sekreto Wetlands.

Inside, youll find a shady figure that sends you to the Death God Cavern, a waypoint further west into the Wetlands. There youll find a difficulty 7 mutant den, so make sure youve visited most of Rage 2s Arks to collect the better weapons and abilities.

Surprisingly, these mutants worship Rages protagonist Nicky Rain, and youll find his armour and Settler Pistol on the Death God Shrine. Youll need to fight through quite a few rooms of mutants first, though, so come prepared.

After picking these up you encounter a boss fight, which well let you experience for yourselves; its one of the games more humorous moments.

The Settler Pistol isnt the best weapon in Rage 2 - in fact, that accolade almost definitely goes to the BFG 9000 - but its another fun addition to your powerful arsenal.

Essentially a punchy handcannon, the Settler Pistol holds 12 shots before it needs to be reloaded, and can kill mutants in a single hit.

Though its currently only available to players that pre-ordered, the Cult of the Death God is been described as a limited-time exclusive, so hopefully, everyone will be able to get their hands on the Settler Pistol soon.
