Get a 249.99 LG TV that 'delivers excellent image quality' for 0

TV shoppers are 'replacing older models' with an 'excellent quality' LG 4K model and one retailer is handing it out for free

Anyone in need of a TV upgrade may want to look away from the likes of Sky Glass, Samsung and Toshiba as one retailer dishes out a TV for free. Virgin Media has brought back one of its most popular deals for broadband shoppers, as some packages now come with a 43-inch LG TV for 0 extra.

Usually 249.99, the LG 4K Smart UHD TV has been added to TV and broadband packages for no additional cost. So anyone who upgrades their home packages will get a gogglebox for no additional cost.

The deal is running between now and July 29, for all shoppers who take out one of the retailers' combo bundles. The TV is known for its vivid colour technology and sharp quality, which users have rated online for its "excellent sound and excellent picture quality."

One buyer of the TV rated the quality of the LG and said: "I have just bought this TV as a replacement for a much older smart TV. The picture quality is excellent." While another shopper explained: "Very good TV, high quality image and sound - with a Sound Bar, awesome."

Virgin Media shoppers can pick from seven different packages for a choice of the LG UHD TV or 125 bill credit. The cheapest package of them all is the cinema package at 46.99 monthly.

This includes Virgin's 362 Mbps broadband alongside Virgin's TV service featuring over 200 channels plus Netflix Standard with Adverts. Consumers will also receive Sky Cinema and Sky Atlantic, as BirminghamLive reported.

At 56.99, sports fans could choose from the Sport package. This includes cinema packages but adds on all nine Sky Sport channels, including Formula 1 racing, golf majors and the Premier League football. So fans could get a new TV upgrade before the start of the new season in August.

The Max Volt bundle has a rapid 1130 Mbps broadband alongside all Cinema and Sports channels, Sky Atlantic, Netflix and an unlimited O2 SIM card. However, it comes at a premium, with an opening monthly fee of 78.99 per month.

The qualifying packages include:

Customers should note, however, that the deal does require a 24-month commitment but comes without setup charges. In line with inflation, there's also a price rise each April. Virgin Media doesn't serve every area in the UK, so consumers can paste in their postcode to check if the deal is available in their region.

However, not everyone will find themselves upgrading their television channels simply for a new gadget. If that's the case, Currys offers a deal worth considering. For TV buyers, the LG QNED70 43-inch model is currently 249.99, reduced from 299.99.

While getting a complimentary TV with a new contract represents excellent value for some, those requiring only to enhance their existing broadband connection can achieve this more affordably than these Virgin rates. Rival company Plusnet, a subsidiary of BT, is presently providing fibre broadband from 22.99 per month on a 24-month contract.

It's slower than Virgin with a speed of 74 Mbps, but those with simple internet requirements might favour the more affordable option.
