Young DJ duo make history with headline performance in party capital

Half Punk, made up of DJ Steady and DJ Yaya, made history by becoming the UK's youngest ever DJ duo to perform a headline set in a popular party capital

The UKs youngest DJ duo play sold-out gig

The UK's youngest DJ duo, aged a mere 10 and 12 years old, have rocked a sold-out gig at a resort in the renowned party hotspot.

DJ Steady and DJ Yaya, collectively known as Half Punk, hail from Milton Keynes and with the summer holidays in full swing, the dynamic duo have traded their school desks for DJ decks, joining the illustrious ranks of David Guetta, Carl Cox and Solomun by entertaining crowds in Ibiza.

The trailblazing twosome headlined the TUI Holiday Villages Seaview's Ibiza Family Opening Weekender on Saturday, 26th July. Their stage name and performance paid homage to music legends Daft Punk, whose smash hit 'One More Time' recently marked its 25-year anniversary.

The pair even donned replicas of the artists' iconic high-tech helmets during their set.

They were accompanied on stage by Yaya's younger brother, MC Mari, real name Marley, who introduced them to the eager crowd. Half Punk's set list was packed with top 20 club anthems, as voted by the nation.

Beyond just rocking the resort, the young DJs also aimed to shake up the industry by encouraging more girls to take to the turntables. Despite some progress in recent years, only 20 per cent of DJs booked for the 2025 Ibiza party season are women.

Half Punk's international debut challenged this gender bias and celebrated the resort's new entertainment programme, which promotes 'family raving'.

It follows research by TUI which revealed a surge in demand for daytime clubbing events and family raves, with searches for these experiences skyrocketing by an impressive 53 per cent since 2023.

"What an incredible way to celebrate the start of the school summer holidays and a new season of brilliant entertainment at Holiday Villages" said Natalie Johnson, Concept and Proposition Manager at TUI Holiday Villages.

"Half Punk were out of this world, and to say the crowd went wild is an understatement.
