Best place for stags? Europe is top pick with Budapest being most popular for lads

The most popular destinations for grooms and their pals are Budapest, Prague and Benidorm.

But brides prefer Brighton, Liverpool and Bristol.

Blokes go for lively nightlife, adrenaline-fuelled activities and cheap beer, according to stag experts Chillisauce.

But the company says women tend to pick cities with luxury accommodation and nice bars.

The days of getting drunk in the pub the night before the event are over as pre-wedding blow-outs get longer and more expensive.

And the stag and hen culture is getting bigger.

More revellers than ever will arrange long boozy weekends this month, the most popular for bookings.

Stag parties who do stay at home are picking nights on the tiles in Newcastle, Bournemouth and Cardiff.

But Krakow, Amsterdam and Barcelona are also in the top 10 stag locations.

Hens who do venture outside Britain tend to go in search of the sun, with the Spanish resorts of Marbella, Barcelona and Benidorm topping the rankings.

Chillisauces Selina Pridmore said: Were seeing more people than ever getting married in their 30s and 40s and therefore an increase in groups wanting to discover new places they havent visited in their 20s.

Getting married later in life often means a higher disposable income.
