'I went to cheapest bar in Benidorm - pints are cheaper than a cuppa'

A beer-loving Brit was left in a state of disbelief during his recent holiday to Benidorm, after discovering a bar where pints are sold at a price that's "cheaper than a cup of tea" back home

A British bloke couldn't believe his luck when he stumbled upon a pint that costs less than a cuppa in a Spanish holiday hotspot.

Graham, together with his mate Darren, found the boozy bargain for under 2 when enjoying the fruits of the notorious Benidorm strip.

The Costa Blanca, a hotspot for thrifty UK holidaymakers, is famed for its cheap grub and buzzing nightlife. And so Graham, who's got a whopping 335,000 TikTok fans, couldn't wait to share his find of a 1.66 (2) pint at Uncle Ped's, leaving him chuffed to bits.

His video on @benidorm_grumet went viral, clocking over 146,000 views as fellow Brits back home gawped at the price, reports the Manchester Evening News.

The savvy traveller revealed more about the budget-friendly bar, he shared: "The place is known by many to be the cheapest in Benidorm, along with Uncle Ron's. You also see a lot of [Spanish] locals in this bar, as the prices are so cheap."

But he did flag up that Benidorm's soaring popularity has bumped up flight costs. Graham continued: "I've never seen Benidorm so busy for February; even the flight prices are higher. We usually get a return flight for 30 or 40, but it was far more this year."

Still, Graham reckons with a bit of savvy planning, you can still have a blast without breaking the bank. "If you go to Benidorm and want to party every night, it's expensive, but if you go on a budget, you can get a breakfast for 2.90," he explained.

And let's not forget that unbeatable pint price.

Sun-seekers might be crying over the end of dirt-cheap flights, but Benidorm's still dishing out the bargains - and Uncle Ped's bar is all the rage with its rip-roaring 'happy hour' deals. You can grab two spirits with a mixer for a fiver and bit more, as advertised on their classic chalkboard.

This boozer pours Amstel at prices that'll make your wallet sing, even though it's not as cheap as the unbelievable 86p Estrella deal that Graham, a frequent flyer to the area, discovered last June with his mate Darren. That steal had them reminiscing about the good old days with "back in the early 90s prices."

The TikTok tribe have been spouting off about their jollies, with one declaring Uncle Ped's was a "great bar" they hit up "last October".
