A flight attendant has shared some insider secrets including annoying habits that could get you in crew's bad books - such as asking them to get you water.
Kristina, 27, from Russia, has worked as cabin crew for over six years and regularly posts about her jet-set lifestyle on Instagram, @dementevaakristina. Kristina told Daily Star that she joined the job because her "passion is for travelling", and to "learn about new cultures".
She added that her favourite part of the job is "welcoming passengers on board, taking care of passengers, providing any assistance if needed as well as smiling and making passengers smile." However, she doesnt like destructive passengers who think they know the job better than she does. With that in mind, her main recommendation for passengers is never to ask the crew for water.

She explained: "Number one dont push the call button for asking for a cup of water because our job is hard!"
Wed recommend heading to the galley to ask instead so long as the seatbelt sign is switched off. But, dont be surprised if you catch some of the staff flirting while youre up there. Kristina noted: "I know many aviation couples in my job! Honestly its romantic job, but I try not to make drama or romance with my colleagues."
The air-hostess and influencer has visited 24 countries so far on her travels and gets recognised for her online presence when working at 36,000ft. Kristina commented: "Of course I like passengers who recognise me from my Instagram its [my] pleasure. I also like those who call me by my name. Who follow the rules of our company and [act] with understanding of our job."
She admitted that she prefers "long-haul flights" because she prefers a Boeing 777. "But short hours flights I like too," she added. "If it will be a flight to another country because we have free time there like a Spain or France. Actually, Spain is my favourite country I visited many cities [there]. I like the climate in Spain, food, culture, wine, sea, Spanish architecture! Also I like the Spanish language."
And, she prefers to work business class rather than economy too. Kristina said: "I like working in business class more, because there is a high [level of] service in business class like in the restaurant. Also the passengers are good."
On top of having fun visiting exotic countries and entertaining customers though there is a tricky side to being a flight attendant. Kristina noted: "Every year we refresh our knowledge. What to do in emergency situations, how extinguish a fire or provide medical assistance. We have to pass a lot of exams. Its hard work, but interesting."
