Loose Women star Ayda Field's life from 'warning signs' with husband Robbie Williams to Matthew Perry tribute

Ayda Field is set to star in the fifth season of Michael McIntyre's The Wheel and has been a regular face on UK TV over the years but there is much more to learn about the actress

Ayda Field, wife of Robbie Williams, has become a familiar face on UK television, sparking curiosity among fans about her life.

The 45-year-old will star in another episode of Michael McIntyre's The Wheel, with the next instalment scheduled for Saturday, October 26, at 8.10pm on BBC One.

Ayda will join other celebrities in helping contestants answer questions in the hopes of winning a substantial cash prize at the end of the game show.

As Ayda returns to primetime TV, here's everything you need to know about the actress, model and former X Factor judge.

Early days

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Ayda is the daughter of Turkish Muslim Haldun Evecan and Jewish mother Gwen Field, a film producer. Her parents separated when she was very young, with her father moving to Turkey and becoming estranged for most of her childhood.

Gwen remarried and had Ayda's half-brother Dylan, although not much is known about him, reports the Mirror.

Ayda attended Harvard-Westlake School in California and later studied law and accountancy at university while also pursuing acting and modelling.

At the age of 21, she made her onscreen debut in City Girls in 1998, which led to her landing the role of Angelo Moroni in the iconic soap Days Of Our Lives.

She also appeared in Back To You as Montana Diaz and in Blue Collar TV portraying various characters.

Matthew Perry tribute

In 2006, she starred as Jeannie Whatley in the comedy Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, where she starred alongside Friends legend Matthew Perry.

At the end of 2023, after Perry's death at age 54, Ayda shared a touching post on Instagram with a throwback photo from their time on the show.

Ayda penned: "I've just read the news that Matthew Perry has passed away and my heart is heavy.

"Many years ago, I had the pleasure of working with Matt on a tv series called Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip. Working alongside him for a year was truly a privilege, personally and professionally.

"Not only was Matt one of the most talented actors I've ever worked with, he was one wickedly funny human being.

"He lit up a room with his humour and his charm. I feel grateful that I have these memories and am mourning the loss of a really special man. I'll miss you, Matt xx #rip".

Her romance with Robbie

It was also in 2006 that Ayda first met her future husband, ex-Take That star Robbie Williams, thanks to a blind date set up by friends.

The celebrity pair got engaged over the festive period in 2009 and tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at Robbie's LA residence.

However, Ayda revealed on Loose Women that there were some initial reservations when she first encountered Robbie.

Ayda confessed: "I didn't know what I was getting into. There were warning signs dancing over his head, but I was like 'I think I love him.'

"If you love someone you go with your heart and I went with all the crazy mess that went with him."

Ayda and Robbie have since built a family together, with four children: Theodora, Charlton, Coco, and three year old Beau.

Meeting her sisters

Ayda also has a close bond with her half-sisters, Ilgi and Oyku Evecann, whom she reconnected with after getting in touch with her estranged father before marrying Robbie.

Although she couldn't attend his funeral in 2014 due to being seven months pregnant, she has since developed a strong relationship with her sisters.

A source revealed to MailOnline in 2018: "After spending essentially a lifetime apart, Ayda is really happy to be getting to know her sisters properly.

"'She didn't speak to her dad between the ages of three and 18 and by then she'd missed much of her sister's childhoods.

"But the way they get along now it's like they grew up together. She talks about her 'sisters' and there is a real love between them."
