Mark Wright has been crowned the most successful Strictly Come Dancing star to date, according to fresh research.

The ex-TOWIE heartthrob twirled his way through the 2014 series of the BBC's glitzy dance show, partnered with professional dancer Karen Hauer. They finished fourth, with the late Caroline Flack clinching the coveted Glitterball trophy that year. However, not winning the title didn't hinder Mark's success, as Betway Casino reveals he's been coining it in with an estimated net worth of a staggering 13,851,512.

This jaw-dropping sum catapults him above Strictly alumni like Stacey Dooley and Alesha Dixon in the rankings of the show's most successful celebs. Plus, he boasts an impressive 2,042,000 followers on Instagram.

The reality TV star, who is hitched to Michelle Keegan, landed a presenting gig on US show Extra post-Strictly, and also hosts on Heart Radio. He recently added 'dad' to his CV, after he and Michelle welcomed their baby girl Palma in March.

To gauge the success of Strictly's past contestants, Betway analysed social media followers, IMDb film and TV nominations and net worth to paint a comprehensive picture of who's really smashing it, reports Wales Online.

Peter Andre, Katie Price's ex, came in second with an impressive net worth of 7,367,826 and a staggering 1,999,465 followers on Instagram. The star participated in the dance competition in 2015, partnering with pro Janette Manrara until week eight. Since then, his career has soared with numerous TV, film and stage roles.

Alesha Dixon, who clinched the Strictly crown in 2007 with Matthew Cutler, was next on the list. After her dazzling performance, she landed a three-series stint as a judge on the panel before moving on to Britain's Got Talent.

Her estimated net worth now stands at 5,894,180, with 1,210,045 fans following her Instagram updates.

Matt Baker and Tasha Ghouri took fourth and fifth spots, while documentary maker Stacey Dooley secured sixth place.

Since winning Strictly in 2018, Stacey has been a constant presence on our screens, making waves with hard-hitting programmes like Stacey Dooley: Ready for War? and Stacey Dooley: Inside the Undertakers.

Her estimated net worth is now 790,000, with her 1,205,712 Instagram followers demonstrating the significant fame she's garnered since her victorious waltz.

Abbey Clancy, Kara Tointon, Angela Scanlon, Jay McGuinness, Jill Halfpenny and Ore Oduba also made it onto the list of Strictly's most successful celeb contestants.
