A Loose Women star has left the panel shocked after revealing she had secretly got married for the fifth time.
Janet Street-Porter made her fellow panellists lost for words as she announced on the show that she has married her boyfriend Peter Spanton.
The 79-year-old had previously been married four times, but has been in a relationship with Peter since 1999.
She revealed the news to her Loose Women co-stars and viewers on Monday (February 3) with a video message.
She said: "Hi everyone, I've been keeping a big secret. It's my big news for everyone. Peter and me, and Badger, got married on Saturday, so there you are.
"I finally did it. I waited to the last for the best. See ya!"
Kaye Adams, Sue Cleaver, Brenda Edwards and Nadia Sawalha were on the panel show today and all applauded the news in the video clip, reports the Mirror.
Janet was previously married to Tim Street-Porter between 19671974 and kept his name once she had started up her media career, but she has admitted to having multiple affairs during this time.
The star then married Tony Elliott, the publisher of Time Out, before they split two years later.
Revealing her regret over the marriage, Janet said: I turned to him and said well that was a mistake, within 24 hours [of marrying] and he said I agree.
"I said we were such great friends, exactly the same age, why on earth did we get married!?"
Janet was then married to filmmaker Frank Cvitanovich between 19791981. In 1997 she married David Sorkin in Las Vegas. However, she would later describe this as a "mistake" and a "mid-life crisis". The two split around two years later in 1999.
She said: "I thought I dont know why Im saying the words I do but Im just saying I do then I was back in the hotel and I was like, ugh.
