Three new presenters have been confirmed for Strictly Come Dancing. Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman stepped down from their roles in 2025 and will now be replaced by three fresh new faces.
The new hosts of the BBC dance competition have today been announced as Johannes Radebe, Emma Willis and Josh Widdicombe. The BBC reported: "The BBC confirmed the trio will replace Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, who left the dance competition last year."
"Willis, who has also hosted The Voice and Big Brother, will take over Daly's role as the show's main anchor. Widdicombe will take over Winkleman's role in the show's former "Clauditorium", while Radebe will act as a roving reporter."
Johannes said: "To be returning to Strictly Come Dancing in this new role is beyond anything I ever imagined. This show has always stood for joy, heart, and togetherness, and I feel deeply honoured to now help carry that magic forward. To do it alongside the formidable Emma Willis and the utterly brilliant Josh Widdicombe makes it even more special. Im ready-sequins, nerves, and all...please bear with me. Love Jojo."
His co-host Emma added: "Its no secret that Im a huge fan of Strictly - Ive cheered and danced along from my sofa for years - so to be stepping into the Strictly ballroom is something I cant quite comprehend. Its impossible to fill the shoes that Tess and Claudia have left behind - two wonderful, iconic women who have been the beating heart of Strictly for so long."
"I can only hope that we are able to help to steer the ship as beautifully as they have, into this new chapter. I cant wait to spend my weekends with Josh and Jojo, the incredible dancers and the judges. Fingers crossed for a 10 from them!"
Josh joined in with a statement of his own: "Dancing the Charleston dressed as a penguin for the 2024 Christmas Special of Strictly remains my career high point, so I am giddy with excitement, honoured and a little overawed to be given the chance to step into the biggest shoes in television. I adore Emma and Jojo and cant wait to spend my weekends with them. Ill dust off the penguin costume."
The news comes just hours after Josh Widdicombe sat on the Good Morning Britain sofa to speak about the rumours circulating online. Josh appeared on GMB and told hosts Susanna Reid and Ed Balls: "Do not believe what you read in the papers. You're both public figures, you're both aware of this."
He also joked that the TV pair in front of him on the GMB sofa would be a perfect fit for the role.
The comedian said he'd "love to do it" but did not confirm or deny that he is one of the the next Strictly presenters, which prompted Susanna to joke that there is a "place in politics" for him due to how well he danced around the question.
Strictly fans will know Johannes from his stint as a professional on the BBC dance competition and Emma Willis from her other presenting roles including her time on Big Brother. Josh previously starred in the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special back in 2024.
Five of the show's 20 dancers will not be returning for the next series, but the BBC previously confirmed those remaining will be "joined by fresh top talent from the international dance world."
