Celebrity Big Brother contestants Chris Hughes and Jojo Siwa have grown very close since the 2025 series began. 32-year-old former Love Island star Chris entered the house on 7 April alongside a number of other celebrities, including 21-year-old Dance Moms alumni Jojo Siwa.
The pair instantly hit it off after Chris came to her defence. Former housemate Mickey Rourke made a homophobic remark toward Jojo, who identifies as gay and is currently dating her partner Kath Ebbs, and Chris stepped in to defend his co-star.
Since then, the pair have been inseparable and are often spotted cuddling or touching - Chris was even seen tickling her back while the pair laid in bed together.
Some Celebrity Big Brother fans have defended the pair's friendship stating that they appear to just be "very close," while others have commented on their 11 year age gap and the fact that Jojo is in a relationship.
During one episode, Jojo lead Chris in a dance to the house's outside area. Hughes turned to her and said: "God, you look good today. I think it's my favourite colour on you."
The pair have also previously cuddled in bed together in a rather intimate moment that made fans question their friendship. Chris, topless, snuggled into Jojo's shoulder as she stroked his arm and he was also seen playfully poking her nose.
One night, Jojo wrote a message on Chris' hand which is a violation of Celebrity Big Brother rules - the reality show prefers contestants to converse out loud rather than obscure their conversations from cameras and microphones.
Viewers got to work speculating what she wrote - some people thought she scrawled "I love you" while others debated whether it was a secret message to say that co-star Ella Rae Wise may have feelings for him.
Eventually, Jojo told the Diary Room camera: "Its something that Im not ready necessarily to be open about or upfront about but it has to do with gender and how do I feel."
During a recent episode, Chris told Jojo that something she did "turned him on" which left viewers feeling "icky and uncomfortable".
To pass the time, this year's CBB contestants played a memory game - each person listed an item from the supermarket before moving onto the next person, who had to recall everything that had been said.
The group were impressed with Jojo's ability to recall a long list of items - especially Chris, who turned to the dancer and said: "That was really good, really well remembered. That's a big turn on, that," before repeating his last words again.
Fans took to social media to complain about Chris' comment, with one person writing: "Also sorry but why did Chris say to Jojo that was a turn on, ew."
Another added: "Why did Chris say such a turn onits too creepy now this friendship etc etc. Plus its too much."
One CBB viewer branded Hughes as "so creepy" while another went so far as to say he'd "made them sick". Another person even noted that it appeared he had "given Jojo the ick" after making the "turn on" comment.
Elsewhere in the same episode, Chris revealed that he wants Jojo to move into his house after the pair eventually leave the Celebrity Big Brother house.
EastEnders actress Patsy Palmer asked whether they would move in as housemates and he replied: "I think we might have to. She'll say no, but deep down I know she wants to."
Patsy then said that his house would be an ideal place for Jojo to stay when she holidays in the UK. Chris said: "We've already discussed that."
"I think she's going to temporarily movie in for a couple of days."
