CBB star Lauren Simon's daughter says her mum's Simon Cowell story was a 'remix'

Lauren Simon claimed on Celebrity Big Brother that Simon Cowell wanted to make her a famous singer, but her 19-year-old daughter has now said she remembers the story a little differently

Lauren Simons daughter has suggested her mum's story about Simon Cowell wanting to make her a singing star was a bit of a remix.

Real Housewives' Lauren told her tale on Celebrity Big Brother, claiming that when she was younger the music and TV mogul spotted her and said he could make her famous. But her daughter Gigi has now said thats not quite how she remembered the story.

Opening up to her housemate and Simons pal - Louis Walsh, Lauren had said: I was 23 and I lived in London and I was going out with this playboy. I was at the VIP table drinking champagne and Simon was there and he worked for RCA records at the time.

"He came over to give me his card. I had a gold dress on, dancing on the table. He wanted to make me famous as a singer. He fancied you? asked Louis. Probably, Lauren replied.

She went on: Im in Barbados and I got married there. Im walking down the beach with my ex-husband and hes (Simon) at Sandy Lane with Sinitta. He looks at me and goes, Lauren Stone, how are the devil are you? Are you still dancing on those tables?

Laurens 19-year-old daughter Gigi later shared her thoughts on the story, saying on TikTok: One thing about Lauren. Her stories never miss. My girl has lived. She's lived. She's like a cat. She's seen nine lives.

Playing the clip of her mum chatting to Louis, the teen told her followers on the platform: We are going to put it down to the fact that he fancied her because my mum... this girl can't sing. She can do a lot of things. Singing? Off the roster. Take it off.

She has actually told me this story, she went on. This the remix though.

She told me that they used to go for a Chinese every Wednesday, so I will be clarifying this when she gets out," said Gigi. "That probably happened after, to be fair." Lauren tied the knot with property developer Paul Simon in 2003. The pair, who have since split, have two daughters - Gigi and Kika.
