Coleen Nolan fights back tears as she's given crushing blow on Celebs Go Dating

Loose Women star Coleen was left humiliated in front of her co-stars in the latest incident from her stint on Celebs Go Dating as she was snubbed by her date while on television

Coleen Nolan had to fight back tears after she was brutally snubbed by her date on Celebs Go Dating.

Loose Women star Coleen, 61, has spoken candidly about how she wants to prove that love can come at any age after ending her 11-year marriage to Ray Fensome. However, she was dealt a crushing blow whilst on the E4 show when she was unable to charm a single man.

During Wednesday evening's show (May 13), viewers watched on in horror as Coleen was left embarrassed by her date Steve. Though Coleen thought the date had gone really well, the same could not be said for her date.

As part of the show, the cast of celebs including Professor Green, David Potts and James Haskell were flown out to Tenerife. There, they went out on two lavish dates each, with everyone gathering at the end of the holiday to see who would want to keep dating once they got home.

Singing sensation Coleen stood in front of everyone ready and waiting for her dates to stand up, wanting another date. However, after the dating experts asked her suitors to stand if they wanted to see her again, she was left horrified when neither of her dates stood up.

Coleen soon broke down, struggling to keep herself together. In scenes seen earlier in the series, Coleen had gushed over her date with Steve, saying that she was very attracted to him and that there as a lot of sexual chemistry between them.

Steve admitted, however, that things were not the same for him: "Me and Coleen from the start was an absolute hit from the start emotionally. But the only thing for me was the sexual chemistry just wasnt there."

Speaking in her confessional piece, Coleen said that she found the entire moment "mortifying", getting emotional as she wept she wanted "the ground to swallow her up". Her co-stars were also left red-faced as Lucinda Light quipped to radio star Jamie Haskell: "That's embarrassing."

But despite clearly being hurt at the result, Coleen kept herself strong and carefully listened to Steve as he gave his reasoning for not wanting a second date. After being asked how she felt about what he said, Coleen did not hold back.

She said: "I thought me and Steve got on like so well." Steve shot back: "I hope that after this that we can still be friends; I would love to see you again."

However, Coleen was not having any of it, fuming: "I didnt come on here to find a friend. Ive got lots of male friends that I get on great with."
