Fans of Coronation Street are convinced a shock affair is on the cards for Kit Green and a fellow cobbles resident.

Kit (Jacob Roberts) made his debut in 2024 and rocked up as Bernie Winters (Jane Hazlegrove) estranged son - and it didnt take him long to become involved in some big soap moments.

And over in the soap at the moment, things have taken a dramatic turn for Kit after his girlfriend Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien) was arrested for murdering Theo Silverton (James Cartwright).

Sarah (Tina O'Brien) had killed abusive Theo in April after she attacked him with a metal pole on top of the scaffolding. Sarah picked up the pole and hit him over the head, sending him falling over the edge of the scaffolding and to the ground below.

Although she enlisted the help of former flame and friend Gary Windass (Mikey North) to cover up the crime, the truth eventually came out and Sarah has since been sent to prison - much to the shock of her neighbours.

In recent episodes though, Kit has made it his mission to get Gary sent down for the crime instead. He also filled Sarahs daughter Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) on his plan and at first she wasn't that keen.

He could be set to cheat on Sarah

After some persuasion by Kit though, Bethany changed her tune and agreed to help him, in attempt to get her mum Sarah back from prison.

In Mondays episode (August 10), a prison-bound Sarah was left unserved after a tough-looking inmate shoots Sarah daggers. Later on, Bethany visits Sarah and is horrified to see her badly bruised face but Sarah plays it down.

But now, with more drama likely to come on the cobbles, soap fans cant help but think a shock affair could be happening between Kit and Bethany.

Fans have predicted a Bethany and Kit baby twist

Writing on a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one person said: How long until Kit and Bethanys affair? Someone else chimed in: Yeah its definitely happening I can see it. A third wrote: Perhaps Bethany gets pregnant by Kit?

Echoing their thoughts, another penned: Shell probably get with Kit and gets a bun in the oven please not A fifth also wrote: Shes going to sleep with Kit and gets pregnant.

Coronation Street airs Monday to Friday at 8:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX
