Coronation Street newcomer Idris Nazir has commanded attention lately on the ITV soap.
Idris, played by Junade Khan, made his debut on the cobbles in May as the newest member of the Nazir clan. He's wasted no time launching a relationship with Leanne Battersby and drawing Brody Michaelis into his business ventures.
During this week's episodes, Idris has encountered growing backlash after Abi Webster uncovered that he was her landlord and had been dodging her phone calls.
The situation has worsened following the revelation of black mould in little Alfie's bedroom, leading to the youngster being taken urgently to A&E.
With Idris now squarely in the limelight on the cobbles, viewers have been eager to discover more about actor Junade's, 44, life away from the ITV show.
Before Coronation Street, Junade boasts a string of notable TV appearances, including Game of Thrones and Emmerdale.
Junade portrayed a Dothraki Bloodrider across three episodes in the acclaimed HBO series Game of Thrones in 2016. During filming, the actor posted numerous behind-the-scenes photographs from his experience on set.
Additional parts include Ash Roy in Hollyoaks from 2008 to 2009, DS Khan in BBC drama Better and DS Matthews in Emmerdale the previous year.
Yet Junade isn't the sole celebrity in his household. Junade is wed to wife Gem, and the couple recently celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary.
Gem operates as a presenter and vocalist, and manages PopGems Academy with Junade - a prize-winning performing arts institution. The pair have two young children - a daughter named Alara-Star and a son called Pacino. Both of Junade's little ones have followed in their famous dad's footsteps, embarking on careers as child actors.
Ahead of his first appearance on the cobbles earlier this year, the actor revealed: "My mum and mother-in-law watch Coronation Street avidly, so they're very excited.
"And my kids are actually on screen more than me! My daughter worked with Angelina Jolie in a film called Anxious People and did a Ridley Scott film, and my little boy has done a Marvel film and Waffle the Wonder Dog. So now there's me in Corrie - it's all good!".
Coronation Street is broadcast on weeknights at 8:30pm on ITV and ITV X.
