Danniella Westbrook eyes up huge dating show on mission to find 'true love'

EXCLUSIVE: Danniella Westbrook is ready to find "the one" and has her sights set on Celebs Go Dating after getting burned in her love life by "fame-hungry" exes

Danniella Westbrook is on the hunt for romance and shes setting her sights on one of TVs biggest reality shows to help her find it.

The former EastEnders star, 51, revealed shes ready to swap scripts for suitors, admitting shed jump at the chance to join Celebs Go Dating in a bid to find the real deal.

In an exclusive interview with Daily Star in collaboration with casino.org, Danniella said: Id love to do Celebs Go Dating. I need to find true love. I thought Id found it, but I was wrong.

After a rocky love life, Danniella says she now knows exactly what shes looking for, and its not glitz or glamour.

She laughed: What kind of person would I like to be matched with? Someone with a job. Honestly, a good mate of mine, Danny, hes been in the industry for years doing hair. Hes worked with huge celebrities like Cara Delevingne and loads of others. If you could find someone like my mate Dan, that would be perfect.

He understands how tough this industry can be and has a solid work ethic. Hes clean and sober, so hed get where Im coming from with my own lifestyle.

The actress, who has been open about her journey to sobriety, says shes not interested in fame-hungry dates.

She added: Id love to meet someone whos not a clout chaser, someone genuine who isnt obsessed with social media or has a massive ego. Just someone real, with a bit of drive. Someone who doesnt want to suddenly be an actor or go on Big Brother once youve lived with them, you know, suddenly they want to give up everything theyre doing and become famous.

After a recent heartbreak, Danniella admits shes approaching love with more caution, but also more hope.

The actress continued: When you get to 51, and you think youve found the one, like I thought I had not too long ago, and it doesnt work out, it knocks you a bit. So now, Im just trying to find that spark and energy again.

Whether shes matched with a mystery man through a dating agency or meets her perfect partner by chance, one things clear, Danniellas ready to open her heart again. And if Celebs Go Dating comes calling, shes more than ready to take the plunge.
