Emmerdale's April Windsor is poised to give testimony at the trial for Ray Walters' murder, where Bear Wolf faces charges.

As viewers of the ITV soap will recall, April (portrayed by Amelia Flanagan) was manipulated into drug dealing by wicked Ray (Joe Absolom), who also attempted to coerce the teenager into sex work.

Following her forced exploitation on Ray's farm, Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) slew the villain, with Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) and Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) covering up the killing.

In upcoming episodes, April will provide testimony to help demonstrate that Bear was a victim of Ray's human trafficking operation rather than a perpetrator, while he must also establish that Ray's death was committed in self-defence.

Paddy and April's partner, Dylan, will also face trial for perverting the course of justice.

Since her arrival in the village in 2014, April has endured numerous challenging storylines, including the death of her mother, Donna (Verity Rushworth).

Beyond the ITV soap, actress Amelia hails from a dynasty of soap stars, reports the Express. She is the elder sister of Coronation Street stars Isabella and William Flanagan.

Isabella portrays Weatherfield's Hope Stape, daughter of Fiz Brown (Jennie McAlpine), while William plays Hope's on-screen cousin Joseph Brown, son of Chesney (Sam Aston).

The gifted trio frequently earns acclaim for their soap acting. Amelia and Isabella even found themselves pitted against one another at the 2022 Inside Soap Awards, with both sisters receiving nominations for the Best Young Performer gong. Isabella ultimately claimed the prize.

Isabella revealed what it's like having siblings who are fellow soap stars. At the awards ceremony, she confessed to Inside Soap: "There are so many debates at home whenever there are awards ceremonies.

"Me and my brother are team Corrie and my sister is obviously team Emmerdale, so it does get a bit heated sometimes!"

April is currently 16 and was born on 13th August 2009. As for actress Amelia, she is currently 17 and will turn 18 on June 6, 2026.

Following Amelia's 17th birthday last year, fans expressed astonishment, with one remarking, "Aw thought she was younger, happy birthday chick."

Another added: "I thought that too, a talented performer for sure!"
