Liz Fletcher made a devastating confession during her ITV show with husband Kelvin Fletcher.
For the past few years, viewers have watched the former Emmerdale star and his family run their 120-acre farm from harvesting to lambing.
However, in an attempt to create additional space for livestock on their farm, the couple are being forced to sell some of their beloved animals.
In a repeated episode, which aired on Monday night (August 17), viewers saw Liz confess she didn't want to part with the alpacas they own.
It comes after she was seen shearing them in a previous instalment that season, where she told viewers, 'We'll be sad to lose them'.
Although Kelvin admitted it was 'right' for them to find them a new home where they would be able to flourish.
He told viewers, 'We'll be sad to say goodbye to these wonderful, characterful creatures', before highlighting their desire to focus on being native wildstock farmers.
However, it appears that getting rid of them wasn't as straightforward as they had initially expected.
During the repeated episode, Liz confessed the sale was 'going slowly' as she explained the alpaca trade is 'dying off'.
She told viewers that currently, there weren't any buyers looking to get more alpacas for their farms due to the bad weather, which meant there was a drop in sales.
Looking at one of the animals, she added: "I want you! I really want you, but Kelvin says we have to sell you'.
She revealed loving having them on the farm, but they weren't doing anything for the farm and were 'taking up space' they could use for other animals.
She expressed her hope that they would find a new home on an alpaca farm, but for now, they'd continue to care for them until a buyer was found.
Liz added: "They are so cute and nice to be around, but it's not the plan for the farm, so hopefully we'll get a buyer for them soon."
In a voiceover, Kelvin informed viewers that until they could free up more space, buying livestock for them was going to be halted.
Fletcher's Family Farm is currently in its fourth series, with the family announcing that a fifth series is in the pipeline.
Fans were quick to share their excitement on Instagram as one person shared: "Love this!! Congrats guys, a loved, beautiful show."
While another wrote: "Absolute gem, love the show & can't wait for a new series."
As a third commented: "Love watching this lovely family."
